What are your hours of operation? 

Arizona National is typically open daily from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Grill and practice facilities may have varying hours depending on the season and scheduled events.  

How can I book a tee time? 

Tee times can be booked directly through our HERE or by calling the Golf Shop. For the best rates and exclusive “App-Only” discounts, we recommend using the Arizona National mobile app.  

How far in advance can I book a tee time? 

General public reservations can typically be made up to 30 days in advance. We recommend booking early, especially during the peak winter and spring seasons in Tucson, to secure your preferred time. 

Do you offer golf lessons or clinics? 

Yes, Arizona National offers professional instruction through our on-site golf academy. Our PGA professionals provide private lessons and group clinics designed to help you navigate the unique challenges of desert golf.  

Are carts available, and is there a cart fee? 

Power carts are included in your green fee. Please note that because of the rugged desert terrain, Arizona National is a cart-mandatory facility; walking is not permitted.  

Do you provide rental clubs or other equipment? 

Yes, top-of-the-line rental sets are available for both men and women in the Pro Shop. We recommend reserving your rental clubs when you book your tee time to ensure availability. 

Is there a dress code? 

Collared shirts, tailored pants or shorts (no denim), and golf-specific shoes 

Do you have practice facilities (driving range, putting green)? 

We offer a premier practice facility that includes a grass driving range with stunning mountain views, a large putting green, and a chipping area to help you warm up before your round. 

Are children allowed on the course? 

Yes, supervised children are welcome. We encourage the next generation of golfers and offer junior rates to make family outings more accessible. 

Do you have water stations on the course? 

To help you stay hydrated in the Arizona heat, water stations are located at various points throughout the course. We also have beverage carts and the Grill for all your refreshment needs.  

What types of tournaments or events are hosted at Arizona National? 

Outings range from competitive tournaments and charity fundraisers to corporate team building, social, and casual play events. Popular formats include Scrambles, Best Ball, Shamble, and Match Play, often featuring shotgun starts. Events often feature on-course games (e.g., long drive, closest to the pin), social gatherings like award banquets, and customized tournament packages 

Are there twilight or weekday specials at Arizona National? 

Yes, we offer seasonal twilight rates that provide significant savings for afternoon play. Check our online booking engine for “Daily Deals” and last-minute specials.  

Does Arizona National have on-site dining or a bar? 

The Grill at Arizona National is open daily for lunch and all-day dining, with breakfast served on weekends. It features a lakeside patio with some of the best views in Tucson, overlooking holes 5 and 18.  

Is there a pro shop at Arizona National? What do they offer? 

Our full-service Pro Shop features the latest desert-wear apparel, equipment, and accessories. We carry top brands and offer Arizona National branded merchandise, perfect for souvenirs.  

Are there any unique features of Arizona National? 

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the course is famous for its dramatic elevation changes and its location abutting the Coronado National Forest. It offers a true “desert-mountain” experience with ancient saguaros and breathtaking views of the Catalina Mountains.  

Do you issue rain checks or refunds for cancellations? 

We require 48-hour notice for cancellations. If inclement weather occurs, rain checks are typically prorated based on how many holes you completed: full for less than 3 holes, and a 9-hole credit for 3–14 holes. 

Can I book online or only by phone? 

Both options are available, but online booking through our website or mobile app is the most efficient way to see all available rates and secure your spot instantly. 

How busy is the course on weekends? 

As one of Tucson’s most scenic courses, weekends fill up quickly. We suggest booking at least a week in advance for Saturday and Sunday morning tee times. 

Do you allow riders that are not playing golf? 

Non-playing riders may be allowed for an additional cart fee, depending on availability. Please check with the Golf Shop on the day of play. 

Do you allow food and beverages to be carried on? 

Personal coolers and outside alcohol are strictly prohibited by state law. Our beverage carts and The Grill are fully stocked with a variety of refreshments. 

What is the difficulty of the course? 

Arizona National is a challenging, target-style desert course. While it rewards accuracy, we offer five sets of tees to ensure a fun and playable experience for golfers of all skill levels.  

Do your golf cars have GPS? 

Yes, our carts are equipped with GPS to provide accurate yardages to the pin and hazards, helping you navigate the elevation changes and desert carries.  

Do you pair groups of less than 4? 

To maintain a consistent pace of play, we do pair singles, twosomes, and threesomes together whenever possible.
